NB: Call extended to 28 August
The 10-year anniversary of Sharing is Caring will happen in Copenhagen March 2021.
2021 also marks the 10th edition of the Danish cultural heritage hackathon Hack4DK. That calls for a celebration! We’re joining forces to explore how cultural heritage data and content have been put to new innovative and creative use over the past ten years. How can open GLAM data be used, and what is it good for in broader innovative and societal terms?
Are YOU one of our ignite speakers?
In the spirit of this year’s theme, we want to celebrate how open cultural heritage is being used by people outside GLAMs. ’This is your chance to showcase your project and get feedback from a fantastic network of peers.
Are you a hacker, developer, designer, artist, or some other creative soul, and have you been using open GLAM data for your project within the last ten years – for instance at Hack4DK – you could be one of our ignite speakers. We are looking for engaging, motivating and entertaining ignite talks about cool projects and/or the perks and pitfalls of working with open GLAM data. Send a short presentation of your project or topic along with your motivation for giving an ignite at Sharing is Caring 2021 (max 10 lines in total) to email@example.com no later than 28 August. We will get back to you within two weeks after the deadline. Accepted ignite speakers get a free ticket to the full conference.
Each ignite speaker has 5 minutes of presentation time accompanied by 20 slides. During your presentation, each slide is displayed for 15 seconds and then automatically advanced. Please note that you must give your talk in English.
